Review: Covergirl Supersizer Mascara/ Intensify Me Liquid Liner

Hey, guys. It’s been a while. 🙂 I went into Target to get a Father’s day card, and came out with makeup. What a surprise. 😉 Included in my mini-haul was this new mascara/liquid liner package from Covergirl.

I paid 10 dollars for it to review, which is a REALLY good deal for the drugstore. It comes with their newest mascara, the Supersizer, and eyeliner, the Intensify Me. The Supersizer’s wand curves a lot more than the traditional wand, as if the spikes are almost a double helix. Its claim is that it provides ‘400% more volume’, and if you twist the wand, it gives a more ‘fanned out’ effect.

The Intensify Me liner also has a very inventive design. My way of looking at it is that it’s basically a highlighter that has been run over by a Mack Truck. But it’s black. Great metaphor, I know. 🙂

The claim with this one is that on the flat side, you can create a very thick line, and on the other, a super slim line. I personally prefer a thin line on myself, so this product may not be as versatile for me, but I think it’s a great design! I was really interested to test out the liner’s pigmentation and lasting power. Here’s the before picture (by the way, on my recent trip to Florida, I finally became able to use a darker shade of foundation. YES!)

My review is… I think it’s wonderful! The mascara is a little clumpy and spidery, but the volume is just amazing! As you can see, I think there really is a fanned out effect, and again, holy volume! The eyeliner is incredibly easy to use, super black, very pigmented, just great! I’m writing this in the evening, and it’s still just as black as it was when I applied it! If you wanted to use this for a really bold cat eye, you totally could. If you want just the thinnest line, totally possible. If you want a mix of both, totally feasible! This is such a versatile eyeliner and would be great for anyone of any skill level! I say go for it. Completely foolproof and beautiful once applied! Definitely worth the ten dollars, especially because the normal mascara runs about 8 or 9 dollars, and it’s five in this pack!

Have you tried this mascara/liner combo? Let me know what you think! Have any other recommendations for a review? Please leave a comment below and tell me what you want!

See you soon, lovelies. 😉
